He was born in New York although his family comes from the Dominican Republic. Roger Sánchez started to play at the early age of 13 introducing himself into the graffiti and break dance scene. After playing music in some of the best clubs in New York, in 1990 Roger recorded his first house single Luv Dancin with Strictly Rhythm Records. Sánchez became an important figure within the musical world consolidating as one of the best remixers and producers of the industry. For many years, Roger Sanchez produced countless mixed albums, but it was in 2001 when he launched his first artistic album First Contact, of which single Another Chance, reached the first place of the Hit Lists in many countries. His 8-hour sets have already become a legend and are regular in Pacha Ibiza with his own weekly party Release Yourself.
